Mr Abrahams' dissertation is titled 'A critical analysis of the variables that influence the savings behaviour of South Africans'.
His study undertook a critical analysis to identify the variables influencing the savings behaviour of individuals in South Africa. The study found that demographics, level of income, financial literacy, parental influence and life cycle all have a significant influence on the savings behaviour of South Africans. The study further highlights that these variables should be taken into consideration together with the sub-variables identified when developing legislation and programmes to improve saving in South Africa.
