Dr Deliwe’s paper was titled “Factors essential for successful and sustainable e-learning”. The main aim of the study was to gain a broader understanding of the factors which are essential in obtaining successful and sustainable e-learning. The study followed a case study approach where a qualitative method was used. One-on-one interviews were conducted with the users of MOODLE to get an in-depth understanding of what the factors are that are needed if we want e-learning to be successful and sustainable. The results revealed several important factors, and recommendations were put forward.

The paper was published in the conference proceedings after going through a double-blind review process. In addition, Dr Deliwe was also approached to chair one of the sessions with the theme: Technology in Education III, where 7 papers were presented.
